It was after years of not leaving the city that it became essential to see stretches of space. The painting of these horizons became a balm to the psyche. There was usually a light on the horizon. This detail can be attributed to an optimistic nature. The brush-stroke method used in these paintings was implemented to evoke the idea of movement. The colors were applied in a quasi-transparent fashion to evoke the idea of time-flow. The hills can be seen as just that or as prehistoric animals emerging from the sea.
